Comprising 77 pages of tables. For each district listed there is a report of the mileage for that district, broken down into Parish Highways and District Roads (late Turnpike). Income is broken down into Rates or Assessments, from Turnpike Trusts, Money Borrowed and Other Receipts. Expenditure is broken down into Manual Labour, team Labour, Tradesmen’s Bills, Law Charges, contributions to Turnpike Trusts, Repair of Existing Turnpike Roads, Repair of Roads Formerly Turnpike, Salaries and Other Common Charges. Condition: Before binding, the last few pages had been seriously affected by damp, with the loss of up to 1 cm or so at the top right corner. There is no loss of text other than some page numbers. The binding is modern and the whole is now firmly bound in a clean, sound binding. Bookplate of A.T. Copsey to front paste down.
