Brown cloth-covered boards, gilt titles to front board and spine, some black decoration, 177 pages plus one leaf of publisher’s catalogue. A book written, as the author says in his preface, “to put the true causes of accident before the public”, at a time when gunpowder was still being used in “fiery seams”. Condition: Boards rather rubbed and bumped, cloth lifting from front board here and there, pages clean and unmarked, binding pulled in one or two places.
