Further Details

This set was presented to the Army Museums Ogilby Trust, and the presentation label is present in each volume, generally to the verso of the front free end paper. Volumes 2 and 4 have their dust jackets. These were published serially, starting in 1940 and ending with Volume X in 1946. Most, but not all, of this set are first printings. The previous owner, who subsequently presented them to the Ogilby Trust, was Major, subsequently Lt Col, JRW Murland. Small octavo in size, illustrated with black and white maps, each volume approximately 110 pages. Condition: The volumes vary in condition but all are at least Good. Boards show wear and bumping, there is some age-tanning to the earliest pages, but all are clean and firm, with unmarked pages other than the presentation labels and the previous owner’s name in neat ink to the front free end paper or title page.
