First English edition, translated from the German by Richard Barry, Marian Jackson and Dorothy Long. The book actually consists of five separate studies, by four authors: Helmut Krausnick, Hans Buchheim, Martin Brosza and Hans-Adolf Jacobsen. The five studies are: The Persecution of the Jews, Command and Compliance, The Concentration Camps 1933-45, and The Kommissarbefehl and Mass Executions of Soviet Russian Prisoners of War. There is an introduction by Elizabeth Wiskemann and an Appendix compiled by Brian Melland. Dark grey cloth covered boards, gilt titles to spine, 614 pages. Related material left laid in. Condition: Dustjacket soiled and torn, with some loss to the bottom of the spine area and crude tape repair along the hinge of the front flap. The book itself is a clean, firm copy with just a little dust soiling along the external top edges of the text block.
