With text in Italian and English. A two-volume work providing a showcase and reference work for contemporary Italian artists in all mediums. This first edition covers artists active up until May 1969. Two heavy, substantial volumes, many illustrations in colour and black-and-white, both still with dust jackets and slip cases. Green cloth covered boards, gilt titles. (To clarify- there is a later work by the same name, published annually by CELIT from 1974, containing many fewer entries per volume, but treating each artist in more detail). Condition: Dust jackets (price clipped) have a little edge wear, and some sunning to the spine. Books in excellent condition apart from a tiny sliver of fading to the bottom of the spine strip of one volume. Red slip cases worn but serviceable.
