Two volumes. Blue boards, gilt decoration and titles, half leather. Decorative end papers. Book plate of Hans K. König to front paste downs both volumes. Portrait with tissue guard as frontispiece to volume 1, facsimile of pages from manuscript of book as foldout plate to volume 2. Pagination: volume 1 XVI, 376. volume 2 XVI, 311. Volume 2 ends with chapter 33, “Kaiser Friedrich III”. Condition: The spine is rather faded although the gilt titles and decoration are still bright. Volume 2 is a little rubbed, with a small mark on the front board. The back board of volume 1 is a trifle warped. Internally clean and bright, and firm binding.
