A compendium of nursery rhymes, fairy stories, myths, poetry and other sources thought suitable at the time for introducing children to literature. Condition: Rather knocked about externally: spine strip is frayed and rubbed, boards are also rubbed round the edges and there is considerable spotting to the spine and rear board. There is a child’s sketch to the front free end paper. There is some pencil annotation here and there. One page has a tear (about 2 inches). Overall, a sound reading copy.
