First American edition, although not necessarily first printing. Sir Sidney Carlyle Cockerell was librarian to William Morris and closely associated with Ruskin. Condition: The dust jacket is very tatty, but the book itself is in sound, clean condition. There is some wear to the bottom edges of the boards, but these are otherwise in very good condition; internally, the book is clean and bright.
