Photograph of the author as Frontispiece. Translated by Lancelot C Sheppard. First printing of the first edition in English. Condition: Ex-library; date stamps to front free end paper, traces of a small label to front paste down, but no other library markings. Stamp of Penang Store, Bishop St., Penang to rear paste down. Spine faded, boards a little bumped and soiled. Binding slightly strained at Frontispiece.
