The author was an Austrian doctor, attached at the time of the Siege of Stalingrad to what remained of the 6th Army. He starts his narrative at the point at which the Russians had launched their last great counter-offensive. Black cloth-covered boards, silver titles to spine, pink-red dustjacket, 191 pages. Condition: Some chipping to top of spine section of dustjacket (which is price-clipped), small tear discreetly repaired, some wear to back of jacket, book in excellent condition.
