Blue cloth-covered boards, gilt titles to front board and spine, uncut (untrimmed) pages, 178 Pages. The title page describes the book as “written 1895-6, Revised 8097-8”, with the implication that the revisions were made before publication, and that this therefore was the first printing. I may be mistaken in this. Chapter headings include The Unhealthiness of the Factory System, Dangers of the Factory System, Female Factory Workers, Infant Mortality and Factory Towns, Wages. Condition: External page edges are soiled, there is a little spotting/foxing to the prelims, but the book is otherwise sound, clean and unmarked. Boards show some bumping.
