Complete in three volumes. Undated, but a table of yields per acre gives figures for the years up until 1910 and a section on acreage of various crops under cultivation gives figures for 1911. A mine of information on agricultural practices in the early 20th century, including discussion of breeds of cattle long forgotten, recommendations as to the provision of and design for farm buildings, and a section on working horses. Small-format books (roughly 6.5 inches high by 4 inches, and each volume having approximately 380 pages. It is possible that the third volume was bought at a different time from the other two: it differs very slightly in colour and size. Condition: The maroon-coloured boards are still sound and firm, although a little knocked and worn. The pages are clean and bright; overall, a sound set.
