The last two pages (thus 498 in all) give results of the vote for the Second Reading of the Factories Act Amendment Bill on Monday, May 9th 1837. A close run thing: Ayes 178, Noes 176 (Gladstone W. E. Amongst the Noes). Green cloth-covered boards, silver titles to spine. Condition: Boards somewhat bumped, spine very faded, binding firm save straining of hinge at rear end paper. Pages clean and bright; note library markings mentioned above.
