Further Details
The first official history of the women’s First Aid Nursing Yeomanry, which was founded in Great Britain in 1907 as a mounted nursing Corps but whose activities gradually widened throughout two World Wars. In World War 2, their roles included signals encoders, secretaries and drivers, and many took combat roles in the SOE in France. Some of the most famous heroines of this time were serving as FANY personnel. Many illustrations from photographs. Although an official history, by no means a dry one. Condition: Dust jacket much repaired, and none too tidily. Book sound and clean, with just a little bumping to the corners of the boards.
