Red soft cloth cover. Undated, but clearly just post-1945 (for example, the Ordnance Survey advertisement apologises for some of the maps not yet being ready because “the whole of the Ordnance Survey staff has been engaged on the production of operational maps for the fighting forces”).With special sections on Natural Life and Antiquities by H. J. Massingham, and Architecture by Clough Williams-Ellis, F.R.I.B.A. Five maps and plans, fifty illustrations. The illustrations are from black and white photographs, and have much period detail, as have the advertisements at the front and rear. Condition: Fold out maps sound, although one is creased at one corner and the other has a rolled edge. The map of the North Cotswolds in not bound in where specified but is loose- it appears not to have been bound in. Front cover has a small bald patch. Previous owner’s name in red ink to first advertisement.
