Quarter leather (brown) on marbled-paper covered boards. In the “La France Moderne” series. Illustrated, with 26 engravings by Quesnay de Beaurepaire, and a map of the Loire. Condition: Ex-library, with reader’s requisition slip (loose) in front. Front free end paper creased. Library stamp (Ligue de l’Enseignement, Ville de Tournus) to title page and to head of first block of text. Pages clean, with occasional crease; plates all present and in good condition, map somewhat soiled and with tear along crease, but with no loss. A sound reading copy.
