Half leather on marbled paper covered boards, 4 raised bands to spine; pagination: front free end paper, title page, blank page, then two columns per page, with first page un-numbered, thereafter numbered 7, 8 to 1853, 1854, then text paginated 1-64. Ownership stamp “Grof Festetics Leo Könyvtarabol” to title page and bookplate to front paste down, Paul Tabori, with (presumed) printer’s mark Biro 1946. According to Wikipedia, Count Leó Festetics de Tolna (8 October 1800, Pécs, Hungary – 15 November 1884), was a patron of music and an amateur composer, from a prominent Croatian Hungarian family, and was a friend and correspondent of Franz Liszt. Condition: Boards rubbed and worn, corners bumped with considerable loss to leather corners, binding firm, some age toning and foxing to pages. Title label to spine shows some loss.
