With his Letters and Journals, and Life by his Son. Eight volumes, complete. Frontis illustration and illustrated title page to each volume (eg Volume I has an engraving of Aldeburgh, Volume III of Orford). A plain title page follows, also dated 1834. Half leather (black morocco) on marbled boards. All edges marbled, marbled end papers. Previous owner’s name and address to front end paper: Josiah Wedgwood, Harracles, Newcastle-on-Tyne, Xmas 1901. A pencil note follows: Gt-Gt Grandsonof Josiah Wedgwood 1872-1943 DSO 1st Baron Harracles Hall. Condition: Spines a little rubbed top and bottom, some edge wear, rubbing, bumping to boards, volume VII has damage to top inch or so of spine, but overall a very attractive set. Some tissue guards to frontispieces lost, some foxing to title pages. Photographs on request.
