Further Details

Sir Richard Redmayne was Professor of Mining Engineering at the then new University of Birmingham and later (1908) appointed HM Chief Inspector of Mines, and this is an autobiographical memoir. Grey dust jacket, dark green cloth-covered boards, silver titles to spine, frontispiece portrait, 326 pages including index. Title page stamped “THIS IS FROM NEW BOOK CO., BOMBAY”. Previous owner’s name to front free end paper- “S L Putnam Capt RE c/o Gr?? (indecipherable) Bombay”. Condition: Dust jacket worn and torn, with a repair and some loss. Boards with some wear and rubbing to extremities, internally clean and unmarked. As usual, the war-time economy paper has lasted very well.
