Further Details

Written in association with Dennis Henshaw. Black cloth-covered boards, gilt titles to spine, blue/black/red dust jacket, 384 pages, illustrations from contemporary photographs. The Tram Stop of the title was the nearest point to Moscow from which a tram could be taken into the city, and was a position held by the German Army. Dr Haape’s unit “crossed into Russian Poland within the first minutes of Hitler’s invasion” and he stayed with them throughout the engagement and subsequent retreat. Condition: Dust jacket much repaired with translucent tape and with some loss, and price clipped. Boards a little bumped, some age tanning to end papers, but the book itself is otherwise clean and bright.
