An attractive, early edition. Brown boards, black and gold decoration, including a portrait vignette on the front, gilt titles. All edges gilt. Condition: Front end papers a little soiled, hinge strained. Previous owner’ names to half title, previous seller’s tidy note to verso of front free end paper. A little grubbiness to boards. Some foxing, especially to early pages.
