It forms the first in a trilogy of narratives dealing with the author’s experiences during World War 2, although written and published after the second in the trilogy, “The Wild Geese are Flighting”. Dark green cloth-covered boards, gilt titles to spine (on black ground), 179 pages, many photographic illustrations, large folding map bound in to rear, pictorial dustjacket. Condition: Dust jacket with small tear to top edge, a little soiled, some general wear, price-clipped. Slight bumping to front board but book otherwise in excellent condition.
