Quarter leather, red pebble-finish cloth-covered boards with gilt decoration and titles, darker red leather to spine strip, also with gilt titles. Marbled end papers, red-deckled page edges, illustrations by Harold Bird. Condition: Boards a little knocked, spine strip unaccountably trimmed at the top and bottom, with the loss of 2 or 3 mm, otherwise sound and clean. Overall, a very nice copy.
