Undated, but previous owner’s details on front free end paper are dated 1897. Forty-six tables plus a list of local weights and measures. Tables include”..the number of thorns, quicksets, or palings &c required to make a fence”, “..the value of land, of growing crop, or of work done, at any rate per acre, from 3d to £100″, .. The superficial content of Slater, Tiler, or Thatcher Work,..”. Irresistible. Condition: A much-used copy. Black cloth-covered boards very knocked and rubbed, spine strip splitting away. Text block sound, but some grubbiness throughout, and the first few pages are especially soiled.
