British Standards Institution Schedule No. 543 – 1934. Volume 1 only- the folder of colour samples (dyed ribbons). Intended to “simplify work in connection with colour throughout all colour-using industries”. Green cloth-covered boards with silver titles to front board, containing 180 ribbons mounted on concertina-type stout card, 20 to a ‘page’; each sample is dyed to illustrate a standard colour. Closed, it measures 238 mm by 130 mm. Condition: Boards somewhat worn, a few of the ribbons creased. Colours remain bright and clear.
