Full contemporary leather binding, spine in compartments with gilt bands. Contains a Preface (i-xvi), a list of contents (xvii-xxiv) and the poems (482 pages). There follow a series of appendices, including a topographical description of the country of the Lakes. Condition: The leather is a rubbed and worn, and there is some damage to the top of the spine and also some cracking of the spine away from the boards. The hinges are strained across the front endpapers although the text block is firm. There is sporadic foxing, some heavy, and some of the paper is rather brittle, especially the endpapers. Age darkening throughout. The rear free end paper is detached. A somewhat scarce edition, especially in the UK.
