A generously-ilustrated account of the currencies issued during the Great War. The alphabetical list of illustrations runs from Aalst (25c) to Witten- Savings Bank, 50 pf. Grey cloth-covered boards, white titles to front board and spine, 104 pages including index. Large octavo. Condition: A sound and clean copy, but rather messily ex-library, especially across the front end papers. Thereafter there are library stamps to the verso of the plates, and here and there in the margins of the text. The boards are rubbed, worn and bumped. Plates clean and in good order.
