Translated from the Swedish by Count Eric Lewenhaupt. The author had worked on Red Cross missions to Germany during the Second World War and as a result met Heinrich Himmler. This is a story of the negotiations that followed when Himmler asked him to approach the Allied powers regarding an armistice. Dark red cloth-covered boards, gilt titles to spine, black, red and white dust jacket, 82 pages, 9 half-tone plates. Condition: Dust jacket chipped, soiled and worn, but with no loss, and not price clipped. Boards bumped, some soiling to external edges of text block, otherwise the book itself is in very good condition.
