Frontispiece and other plates tipped in on heavy paper. Those depicting Donnington Castle and Shaw House seem to be from photographs. Three fold-out maps. Original cloth-covered boards (once purple, I think), gilt decoration and (now much faded) titles. Condition: Boards rubbed and bumped, spine very faded, very rubbed at extremities, with some cracking to top inch or so of joint. Both the larger fold out maps have tears near the gutter but with no loss, and all three are still firmly bound in. Foxing to verso of maps and just a little spotting to the maps themselves. Binding rather uneven and in places slack. Some spotting to pages. Water stain to frontis, affecting margin only.
