Reprinting of “A complete history of the great Flood at Sheffield on March 11 and 12, 1864”. Pictorial card covers, protected by paper wrappers (amateur, probably not recent). Reprint of the original 1864 edition, with original wood engravings. A Sheffield Independent Extra, number 5. Undated, but the advertisements suggest late 19th century, and one of the advertisements is for a tailor’s selection of spring season trousers and suits for the season 1898. Condition: Top board detached and stained. Title page soiled and with a tear to the top right-hand corner (with no loss). Three separate previous owner’s names to title page. The remainder is sound, but the advertisements towards the end are occasionally grubby, and the last but one has acquired some staining from tape used on the paper cover.
