Two volumes, complete. Undated, but the last volume of the Collected Works of which these volumes are a part includes the American Publisher’s Advertisement dated 1875 and announcing it as representing completion of publication of the Collected Works. Edited by John Foster Kirk, with the Author’s latest corrections. Volumes V and VI of the Collected Works (the rest of the set is available; please enquire if you want a price for the set). Publisher’s brown boards, gilt titles and decoration to spine. Engraved frontispiece to each volume, and other occasional engravings and maps. Title page of each stamped, in copperplate, “James Dangerfield,” (sic). Condition: Boards a little rubbed and bumped. Volume II has a modest amount damage to the surface of the front board (perhaps the aftermath of mould damage, or splashing from some abrasive substance?), and rubbing to the rear board. Both volumes are very good internally.
