Two volumes, complete. Undated, but the last volume of the Collected works of which these volumes are a part includes the American Publisher’s Advertisement dated 1875 and announcing it as representing completion of publication of the Collected Works. Edited by John Foster Kirk, with the Author’s latest corrections. Volumes I and II of the Collected Works. Publisher’s brown boards, gilt titles and decoration to spine. Engraved frontispiece to each volume. Title page of each stamped, in copperplate, “James Dangerfield,” (sic). Condition: Boards a little rubbed and bumped. Volume I has some staining or fading to the surface of the rear board (perhaps the aftermath of mould damage, or splashing from some abrasive substance?). Both volumes are very good internally.
