First printing of the US edition. Translated by Constantine Fitzgibbon and James Oliver. Kersten was Himmler’s personal manual therapist and confidant; this book recounts conversations between Kersten and Himmler. Ex-library (Institute of Jewish Affairs). First USA edition; a pencil note to the front free end paper mentions that the first edition, published by Hutchinson in 1956, had a number of errors in the introduction, corrected in the US edition. Black cloth-covered boards, red dustjacket, 314 pages. Condition: Dustjacket, which is taped to the book, creased and much edge-worn. Book with IJA (London) label to front free end paper, their stamps to front free end paper, but thereafter clean. A solid, clean reading copy, marred by the taping of the dustjacket to the book.
