Two Gothic novels published in one volume; limited edition of 1000. Frontispiece portrait of Clara Reeve, and of Walpole prior to The Castle of Otranto; three other illustrations. Light brown cloth-covered bevelled boards, all edges gilt, gilt titles to spine, decorative end papers. Condition: Three of the plates are loose. Cloth worn and with some evidence of water staining. Binding pulled across front joint, rear board pulling away at rear joint. Tanning/foxing to earliest and last pages.
