Eight plates (biological drawings, including sections through the brain) bound in together at end, preceded by pages of keys to plates. Bookeller’s cloth-covered boards, with paper label to spine (‘Price 5s’). Condition: Boards grubby and bumped, with the spine strip split for a few millimetres top and bottom, and the strip itself with damage to the edges. Binding firm. Pages clean, with no foxing. Previous owner’s label to front pastedown, a later owner’s name and date at the top of that same page, and a pencil note, I think by the binder or bookseller, on the same page, apparently noting his customer’s name. Another name (not recent) on the title page.
