Undated, but late nineteenth or perhaps very early twentieth century. ‘Pilgrim’s Progress’ bound together with ‘The Holy War, Made by Shaddai Upon Diabolus, for the Regaining of the Metropolis of the World’. Illustrators credited are J. McWhirter and G. Hay, while the engraving of many of the plates is credited to J.M.Corner. All edges gilt. Heavily embossed green leather binding, or just possibly a faux leather. Introduction xiv, then 590 pages. Roughly 6.7 ” high. Condition: Leather (if such it is) rather rubbed, occasional spotting to pages, but overall an attractive copy.
