Signed by author, inscribed to R. F. Sharp and dated April 1929. A history of the Reading Room, illustrated with ten plates from engravings, including one of The Reading Room in Course of Erection, 1855. Condition: Grubbiness and wear to the boards, including a section of damage (about an inch) to the spine joint, some foxing to half title, but binding firm and pages otherwise clean and bright.
