A book that gives insight into the life of a country parson as it would have been in the 1930s and 1940s, and indeed into village life in general. It offers some views of the rural priest’s prospective congregations that may come as a surpise to those who live in the areas mentioned- but this may tell us more about the author’s attitudes and prejudices than about the actual sexual appetites of the people of whom he was writing. Condition: Binding a little strained at one place. Covers a little rubbed and bumped. Internally clean and bright.
