Co – Author S E Chandler. Green leather binding, gilt decoration and crest of South Eastern Agricultural College, Wye, Kent to boards, gilt decoration and titles to spine. Prize paper label of the same college to front paste down, dated 1910-11. Marbled end papers, all edges marbled. With 12 coloured plates and many black and white illustrations. The black and white illustrations are of mostly from photographs of crops, the people that grow them and the methods they use to harvest and work with them. A large format book, weighing 2.3 kg before packing. Condition: Fading to the front board. Foxing to end papers but pages otherwise bright and spotless. Plates all in very good condition- just a little smudging to the margins of one, one small smudge to one other.
