Illustrated from paintings by Dudley Tennant. Undated. For each man or group named, there is a plate illustrating the action (black and white), then one leaf of narrative text. Pictorial paper-covered stiff card covers, 36 pages of text, 16 plates, octavo/quarto borderline in size. Condition: Previous owner’s name to front paste down. Paper covesr to boards very worn and soiled. Board covers worn, especially at corenrs. Small are of staining to ottom corner of title page, with light spotting to top margin. Heavier soilingxt pages. Plates vary in condition, with some having soiled margins and/or repairs (translucent tape to margins), but the majority being clean and undamaged.
