As the Foreword from the founder and chairman points out, less than forty years before this publication, tailoring was a “sweated” industry. This book puts on record the steps that Burtons took to improve matters and look after their workers. Condition: A clean, firm copy, with a little rubbing to the boards and the binding strained here and there. One page has traces of insect attack.
